In 2009 we created this video work in response to the idea of institutionalization and the environments that surround us. There exist in our society walls and borders keeping us from our potential, whether external or internal are for each person to decide.
Before filming this piece we had a vague idea of the actions necessary to portray our vision. Alas, the universe had other plans and a formed idea turned into a random happening. The lights went out without any apparent cause to be seen, leaving us in the pitch black with nothing but our imaginations; which is sometimes a very scary place to be…
